A Solidarity Visit Strengthening Cooperation Between NABD-BC2 and EDSSR
As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration among civil society organizations, NABD-BC2 Association welcomed a delegation from the “Together for Sexual and Reproductive Health” Association, based in Rabat, to its headquarters on March 7. Representing the host association were Ms. Rachida Belfakira, Deputy Secretary General; Mr. Imran Bahedi, Advisor; and the coordinators Ms. Amina Fikri, Ms. Latifa Mahbara, and Ms. Fatiha Chebli.
The visiting delegation included Ms. Bouchra Assarag, President of the association; a physician specialized in sexual and reproductive health, and a scientific researcher who actively contributes to youth training and to the development of partnerships with countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Senegal, Guinea, and Benin. The delegation also included Ms. Ibtissam Ouardi, Deputy Secretary General; Ms. Nezha Al Oquili, Coordinator at the association; and Ms. Rkia Akhraz, a volunteer with the organization.
The meeting began with a comprehensive presentation by the visiting delegation highlighting the history, mission, and achievements of the “Together for Sexual and Reproductive Health” Association. This was followed by remarks from Mr. Imran Behdi, who presented the vision and objectives of the NABD-BC2 Association. He also emphasized the positive transformation experienced by many beneficiaries, both psychologically and professionally, thanks to the association’s efforts to provide specialized trainers who teach beneficiaries handicraft skills that generate a stable income, preserve their dignity, and strengthen their independence.
Reflecting the spirit of solidarity and social commitment, the visit concluded with a meaningful initiative: the “Together for Sexual and Reproductive Health” Association distributed 25 Ramadan food baskets to disadvantaged beneficiaries supported by NABD-BC2. This initiative demonstrates a strong commitment to community support and continued solidarity with vulnerable groups.
