3rd Gyneco-Mammary Oncology Days of Agadir

NABD-BC2 Association is pleased to announce that its President, Mrs. Ikram Eseghir, was invited to participate and deliver a presentation at the 3rd Gyneco-Mammary Oncology Days of Agadir, held on 06–07 February 2026 at Hôtel The VIEW Agadir.
Organized by the Association of Medical Oncologists of Agadir in collaboration with the Medical Oncology Department of CHU Mohammed VI, Agadir, this scientific meeting brought together leading experts in gynecological and breast oncology to address the following key themes:
- Mutated breast cancers: from screening to management
- Updates in the multidisciplinary management of ovarian cancers
- Therapeutic innovations in metastatic breast cancers
Mrs. Eseghir contributed to the dedicated “Patient Partner Session: Strengthening the Patient’s Voice and Improving Quality of Life in Oncology,” during which she delivered a presentation entitled: “Patient advocacy: strengthening the patient’s voice in oncology.”
In her intervention, she presented NABD-BC2 Association, highlighting its mission, areas of work, and key activities in patient support, awareness, and advocacy. She also emphasized the critical role of civil society organizations in complementing clinical services, bridging gaps between patients and institutions, and contributing to more inclusive and responsive health policies.
Her presentation underscored the essential role of structured patient advocacy in strengthening oncology systems and ensuring that care remains patient-centered, equitable, and responsive to lived realities. She highlighted:
- The meaningful integration of the patient voice in clinical decision-making processes
- Stronger collaboration between healthcare professionals and patient organizations
- Recognition of quality of life as a fundamental outcome in cancer care
- Advancing meaningful engagement of PWLE throughout the continuum of care
The inclusion of a dedicated patient partner session within a highly specialized scientific program reflects a progressive shift toward more collaborative models of care, where clinical excellence is aligned with lived patient experience.
NABD-BC2 Association reaffirms its commitment to evidence-based advocacy, patient empowerment, and active contribution to national efforts aimed at improving cancer prevention, treatment, and supportive care in Morocco.
