Improving Breast Cancer in the Middle East and Africa by IAPO

NABD-BC2 is thrilled to announce its participation in the launch of the policy report ”Improving Breast Cancer in the Middle East and Africa” by IAPO. This comprehensive study, developed by the Swedish Institute for Health Economics, examines breast cancer care across nine countries in the MEA region and offers strategic insights aligned with WHO’s Global Breast Cancer Initiative. The report aims to support local policymakers in enhancing patient care and reducing mortality rates.
In response to questions regarding how to use the report as an advocacy tool, the president of NABD-BC2, Madam Ikram Eseghir, emphasized the challenges patient associations face in advocating for breast cancer care. Drawing from experience with the Best Care for Breast Cancer Association in Morocco, she highlighted the potential for patient associations to leverage the policy report to strengthen their advocacy activities.
