NABD-BC2 at the International Experience Exchange with Patient Organisations

NABD-BC2 is pleased to share that it was represented by its President, Mrs. Ikram Eseghir, at the IEEPO Middle East Regional Workshops held in Istanbul, Turkey, and organized by Roche.

This two-day gathering brought together patient advocates, healthcare experts, and regional stakeholders to exchange experiences and strengthen the role of patient organisations in shaping healthcare systems across the Middle East.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in discussions on building sustainable healthcare partnerships, drawing lessons from international patient-engagement initiatives, and understanding healthcare challenges in the region. Sessions explored resilience in times of crisis, the importance of strategic alliances for better access to care, and the growing impact of digital health and AI in improving patient outcomes.

Mrs. Eseghir also took part in dialogues around Universal Health Coverage (UHC), highlighting how patient organisations can influence policy, amplify patient voices, and collaborate with decision-makers. Breakout sessions focused on advocacy strategies, enhancing patient involvement in healthcare decision-making, and developing practical action plans to drive meaningful change. 

NABD-BC2 looks forward to applying the insights and tools gained during the workshop to continue advancing patient advocacy and supporting the communities we serve.
