The Third Annual Networking Event of Nabad-BC2 Association

In celebration of its third anniversary, NABD-BC2 Association hosted a Networking Event on Saturday, February 22, 2025, under the theme “Fight Cancer with Awareness, Armed with the Power of Hope.”
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with a wide range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, volunteers, patient associations, and persons with lived experience. The goal was to highlight the association’s activities, services, achievements, and plans while also addressing the challenges it faces in spreading its humanitarian message.
The event was a resounding success, with over one hundred attendees from various cities across Morocco. The program featured a variety of segments to introduce the association, starting with verses from the Quran, followed by the national anthem. The presenter, Mr. Thami Chouika hosted the evening with great energy and enthusiasm.
The event opened with a speech by the association’s president, Ms. Ikram Eseghir, who welcomed the guests and introduced the members of the executive board.
The next segment featured an interview by Mr. Thami Chouika with Ms. Fatima Ezzohra Mchirah, author of a book on cancer. She shared the challenges she faced with the disease and explained how the idea of writing the book came about as a way to share her experience with the audience. The author emphasized the many lessons she learned from her battle with cancer, which, through sheer willpower, helped her transform into a creative, productive, and optimistic person with hope for a bright future.
With the same determination and hope that defy the challenges of illness, the next contribution came from Ms. Rachida Belfakira, the Deputy Secretary General, who presented a remarkable poem inspired by her experience of turning pain into hope and a driving force for creativity. She shared her poem titled “The Pulse of Life,” in which she affirms that she has overcome the illness and embraced life, which now pulses within her and gives her strength.
The attendees were then treated to a special presentation for the third anniversary of NABD-BC2. It featured four segments that summarized the association’s efforts and services in supporting breast cancer patients in Morocco. Ms. Rajae Essouabeny, the Deputy Treasurer, introduced the association, focusing on its founding idea, stages of growth, structure, and goals. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Imrane Bahedi, the association’s consultant. He summarized its work and services using statistics and figures. The presentation concluded with a video showcasing the most memorable moments from the 2024 association season.
The final segment of the presentation was led by Ms. Ikram Eseghir, the association’s president, who highlighted the organization’s key achievements and partnerships established in 2024 at both the national and international levels. She concluded by addressing the major challenges the association faces in its humanitarian mission.
Following the presentation, the moderator opened the floor for attendees to share their thoughts and engage in discussions. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their encouragement for the association to continue its impactful work.
The event also featured a series of recorded testimonials from patients who shared their personal journeys with cancer, stories of pain and resilience. They reflected on how joining NABD-BC2 community and participating in its various initiatives had transformed their lives and strengthened their outlook.
At the end of this wonderful event, and as a gesture of gratitude, NABD-BC2 roses honored the association’s president, Ms. Ikram Eseghir, with a beautiful flower bouquet symbolizing hope and vitality.
In the spirit of recognition and gratitude for those who have supported the patients and inspired them to be creative, learn, and stay positive in the face of life’s challenges, the final segment of the event included the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the workshop facilitators, coordinators, and some volunteers as a token of loyalty, efforts, dedication, and hard work.
The event wrapped up with a group photo session, capturing memorable moments under the theme “Uniting efforts to serve cancer patients and preserve their dignity.”
Ms. Eseghir then invited the attendees to a tea party, providing an opportunity for further exchange and discussion on ways to collaborate in the fight against cancer and improve the quality of life of patients.
NABD-BC2 Association extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event or offered their support and encouragement, helping the organization continue its noble mission of assisting patients, preserving their dignity, and improving their quality of life.
