NABD-BC2 Hosts a Day of Awareness and Well-Being in Kenitra
As part of Pink October 2026, NABD-BC2 (Best Care for Breast Cancer – Morocco) Association, hosted a Wellness and Awareness Day on October 25, 2026, at a farm on the outskirts of Kenitra. The event brought together 43 beneficiaries for a day dedicated to health education, emotional well-being, and self-care, reflecting the association’s ongoing commitment to supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
The day opened with welcoming remarks from Mrs Rajae Essouabeny, the association’s treasurer, who greeted the participants and expressed her gratitude to the speakers and partners whose contributions helped make the event possible.
The programme featured a series of informative sessions addressing different aspects of physical and emotional well-being during breast cancer treatment. Dr. Mariam Elbardai, a general practitioner and nutritionist, spoke about the importance of balanced nutrition in supporting patients’ health throughout treatment. She also shared practical dietary guidance, highlighting how appropriate eating habits can help address patients’ nutritional needs during this period.
Skin care was another key focus of the day. Treatment can bring changes in skin condition and sensitivity, making appropriate care particularly important. Dr. Asmae Ait El Cadi, a pharmacist specialising in cosmetology and skin care, discussed these changes and offered practical advice on choosing suitable products and adopting a gentle skin care routine.
The session was followed by a presentation from Meryem, a representative of SVR, who introduced the brand’s skin care products, highlighting their properties and uses. As part of the initiative, each participant received a gift bag containing a selection of SVR products, allowing them to discover and try the range.
Recognising that well-being extends beyond physical health, the programme also included a session on managing anxiety and reducing stress. Led by Fatima Ounjar, a wellness coach, the session introduced participants to practical breathing and relaxation techniques. Through guided exercises, they had the opportunity to explore simple ways of easing tension, managing stress, and fostering a greater sense of calm and balance.
Beyond the presentations and practical sessions, the event provided a welcoming space for participants to connect, exchange experiences, and offer one another encouragement. The relaxed atmosphere offered a valuable opportunity to step away from the demands of treatment, focus on personal well-being, and experience the strength of shared support and solidarity.
NABD-BC2 extends its heartfelt thanks to SVR, Dr. Asmae Ait El Cadi, and Ait El Cadi Parapharmacy Center for their generous support and contribution to the success of this initiative. The association also wishes to thank all the speakers for sharing their expertise and practical advice, as well as all the participants for their presence and enthusiastic engagement throughout the day.
Through initiatives such as this, NABD-BC2 reaffirms its commitment to listening to the needs of people living with breast cancer and creating opportunities that bring together health education, emotional support, and human connection. Because caring for patients goes beyond medical treatment: it also means supporting their physical and emotional well-being, upholding their dignity, and helping them maintain the best possible quality of life at every stage of their journey.
