NABD-BC2 Strengthens Its Engagement in Breast Cancer Awareness Through Participation in Nakhil Centre’s Events

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting breast cancer patients and strengthening its engagement with healthcare institutions and civil society organisations, NABD-BC2 Association took part, at the invitation of Centre d’Oncologie Nakhil in Agdal, Rabat, in a series of activities held at the centre on 14, 15 and 16 October 2026. The events aimed to raise awareness of breast cancer, promote prevention and early detection, and encourage greater collaboration between healthcare professionals and associations working in this field.

During its participation, NABD-BC2 set up an information stand at the centre, where its representatives welcomed breast cancer patients as well as visitors who had not been diagnosed with the disease. The stand provided an opportunity to introduce the association, present its objectives and activities, and explain the support and guidance it offers to patients throughout their treatment journey. Representatives also answered visitors’ questions and provided information about the association’s services and areas of work.

NABD-BC2 also took part in a health-related training session held as part of the centre’s programme. This participation highlighted the importance of sharing expertise and strengthening cooperation between healthcare professionals and organisations working to support patients.

As part of the programme, a meeting was also held between Professor El Abbes El Ghazi, Dr Kadiri Selma and representatives of several associations, including NABD-BC2. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and discuss ways to strengthen coordination between medical professionals and civil society organisations, to improve patient support and respond more effectively to their needs.

On 16 October, an awareness session was held for staff members of Nakhil, with several members of NABD-BC2 in attendance. The session was led by Professor Idriss Moussaoui Rahali, with a valuable contribution from Professor El Abbes El Ghazi. Discussions focused on breast cancer prevention and the importance of early detection. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that diagnosing the disease at an early stage increases the chances of successful treatment and can make the treatment process more manageable. The session also provided practical guidance on adopting preventive practices, raising health awareness and reducing risk factors.

Through its participation in these activities, NABD-BC2 continues to strengthen its ties with healthcare institutions and civil society organisations, while expanding awareness of its mission and the support it provides to breast cancer patients. The initiative also reaffirmed the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting prevention, improving patient care and enhancing the quality of life of those affected by breast cancer.

NABD-BC2 extends its sincere thanks to Centre d’Oncologie Nakhil in Agdal for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in these activities. The association also acknowledges the contribution of the medical teams and all those involved in making these initiatives possible.
